'Twilight' Trio The Bella Cullen Project Premiere 'Safety First' Video

Band is performing at TwiCon, where MTV Movies team will be hanging with your favorite 'Twilight' stars all weekend.

The MTV Movies team is taking over Dallas for TwiCon! Be sure to check out the MTV Movies Blog and MTV.com throughout the weekend for updates from your favorite "Twilight" stars at the vampire love-fest.

DALLAS — It's no secret that, in these parts, one of our favorite "Twilight"-inspired bands is the Bella Cullen project — three teenage fans of the series who use their voices and undying love for all things Stephenie Meyer to create catchy ditties like "Sexy Vampire." This weekend, the trio are performing live in Dallas at TwiCon and hanging with MTV.

To help Twilighters celebrate the big weekend, the Bella Cullens have given us the video for "Safety First," one of the "New Moon"-inspired songs from their new album, Tick, Tick, Tick. We recently caught up with Chandler Nash, Ally Kiger and Tori Randall to discuss their high-concept video, their love for Team Jacob and those silly breakup rumors.

MTV: Tell us about the new album.

Chandler: It's a lot darker, just like the later books. Well, I wouldn't say dark — maybe more meaningful.

Tori: Meaningful, like, deeper.

Chandler: Less campy.

Tori: And we have a clock theme that runs throughout, which is why we call it Tick, Tick, Tick, because [the "Twilight" series] is so much about time, and it's so much about running out of time. We played off that and wrote a bunch of songs that involved that, and we didn't really realize it until we're like, "Oh, wait, that's the theme!"

Chandler: So the face of the CD is actually a clock with little numbers on it.

Tori: And we have 12 tracks.

MTV: Tell us about "Safety First."

Chandler: We're very excited about the "Safety First" music video. That's a cool song. I wrote it.

Ally: And we weren't seeing each other at all, [because] we were with our families, out of town.

Chandler: So I had written these songs, and I was so excited to have them hear it. ... I uploaded it to YouTube and sent them the link. ... Our fans took that to think, "Oh my gosh, Chandler's going solo! The band is broken up! The world is over!"

Tori: We had to be like, "No, we're together. This is a complete and utter lie."

Chandler: And then someone on YouTube didn't believe us that we were the real Bella Cullen Project. [They laugh.]

MTV: Tell us about filming the video.

Tori: It was really fun. We got to be Volturi.

Chandler: We got all dressed up, and we got to be pampered a little bit with our makeup and costumes and jewelry.

Ally: We were like dolls. And, we got to be changed every 30 minutes.

MTV: And this is one of two songs on the album inspired by the upcoming movie?

Chandler: Yes, both "Safety First" and "Forevermore" are based on "New Moon," and that's because I'm so ...

Ally: ... into Jacob?

Chandler: Into "New Moon"!
